目前，我國(guó)的研究生教育蓬勃發(fā)展，規(guī)�？涨�。隨著社會(huì)信息化和經(jīng)濟(jì)全球化趨勢(shì)的發(fā)展，國(guó)際學(xué)術(shù)交流活動(dòng)的日益頻繁，因此社會(huì)對(duì)研究生的英語(yǔ)實(shí)際應(yīng)用能力也提出了更高的要求。為了適應(yīng)這一形勢(shì)，我們組織河北工業(yè)大學(xué)、河北師范大學(xué)、河北大學(xué)及天津外國(guó)語(yǔ)大學(xué)等高校長(zhǎng)期從事研究生英語(yǔ)教學(xué)的骨干教師，結(jié)合編者所在院校非英語(yǔ)專(zhuān)業(yè)研究生實(shí)際英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)情況，編寫(xiě)了《研究生英語(yǔ)綜合閱讀教程》，于2008年9月由南開(kāi)大學(xué)出版社出版。該教材主要突出時(shí)代性和實(shí)用性，旨在通過(guò)豐富多彩的內(nèi)容及各種靈活的教學(xué)活動(dòng)全面提高學(xué)生綜合運(yùn)用英語(yǔ)的能力。
